Me and my family love this time of the year, all the decorations, parties and great food. I thought a few holiday recipes might be helpful for you. Here are 2 great holiday recipes for entertaining.

 

Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Mushrooms

 

Ingredients:

12 large fresh mushrooms 

4 oz. pkg. of cream cheese (softened)

1 clove garlic, minced

4 slices of bacon (cooked and crumbled)

½ cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)

1 tbs. chopped fresh parsley

Directions:

Heat oven to 350 degrees

Remove stems from mushrooms (with a paper towel, clean the outside of the mushrooms)

Mix remaining ingredients and spoon into mushroom caps.

Place filled-side up, in a shallow baking dish and bake 18 to 20 minutes or until heated through.

Makes 12 servings

 

Easy Sausage and Egg Quiche

 

Ingredients:

1 ready to bake pie crust

1 pkg. Jimmy Dean regular flavor Pork Sausage Roll

4 eggs

1 cup milk

¼ tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. ground black pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees

Cook sausage in skillet over medium-high heat for 8 to 10 minutes or until thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently, drain.

Beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper in a large bowl until blended. Stir in cooked sausage; pour into ready to bake pie crust.

Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until edges of filling is golden brown and a knife inserted near center comes out clean.

Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Makes 8 servings
