Let’s get this party rolling! For our first party, I wanted to show you how I prep my parties and family gatherings. I find that sending out really cool invitations will get everyone in a party mood and this approach is more engaging and fun than merely relying on cold telephone calls or the dreaded “spam” email invite. I appreciate the WOW effect this invitation approach elicits in both the party giver and the party attendee.
Below, you’ll find some examples of the invitations and thank you cards I have sent out over the years (created by Brain Dever, a friend of mine). I first met Brian online, while I was looking for my husband’s perfect birthday party invitation. Of course the invitation I needed had to be original and special. Brian went above and beyond to meet my needs and after a few proofs, we ended up with the exact invitation I wanted.
Now back to the party, I made sure I took photographs of everyone there, either as a group, a family pose, or shots of the family just having fun. Brian took those photos and designed custom thank you cards geared toward each partygoer that included an image of my husband and the guest. Everyone loved them and displayed them for their friends to see.
