Pail and Shovel Dessert

This is the recipe for my flower pot dessert with a creative twist from Debra. Make the dessert as follows but instead of a flower pot use a child’s pail and shovel and on the top layer sprinkle crushed vanilla cookies to make it look like beach sand. Then use the shovel as a scoop to serve. This dessert is a treat for the kids and looks great.

20 oz. bag of Oreo cookies, crushed

Vanilla sandwich cookies, crushed

1 8oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened

½ cup of butter

2 (3 ½ oz.) boxes instant vanilla pudding

4 cups of milk

12 oz. whipped heavy cream

1 cup confectioner’s sugar

Make pudding according to direction on box and refrigerate until set. Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks and set aside, when pudding is set, fold into heavy cream.

In a larger bowl, cream softened cream cheese and butter until blended. Add your pudding and cream mixture and confectioner’s sugar and mix until smooth and creamy.

Sprinkle some crushed Oreo cookies on bottom of pail to cover, place a layer of your pudding mixture on top. Continue making layers to the top finishing off with the crushed vanilla cookies.

Thanks Debbie what a great idea…I love it J
